Pharmacy Leadership Development Programme (PLDP)
At the iAcademy we have created the ideal Pharmacy Leadership Development Programme (PLDP).
We designed this programme to take your business to the next level through the development of your people into leaders. They will then go on to implement the strategies you need to compete in a fast-paced retailenvironment.
We design and deliver on-line, comprehensive modules to cover a range of business disciplines to prepare your trainees for Leadership and Management. The programme is unique in that it will develop the trainee’s skills and knowledge in theory, and also in practice, through the Work Based Learning (WBL) Module.
The programme is divided into three sections. This enables the trainee to focus on separate areas of their development.

The Business & You
Phase 01 focuses on The Business & You, where the trainee develops a deeper understanding of your business and their own leadership qualities.

The Manager
Phase 02 focuses on The Manager, where the trainee develops their management skills.

The Leader
Phase 03 focuses on The Leader, where the trainee forms their leadership skills.

During each phase, the shop floor will be connected with the classroom through the WBL Module.
Phase 1
The Business & You
Phase 01 focuses on The Business & You, where the trainee develops a deeper understanding of your business and their own leadership qualities.
Phase 1 Modules
Work Based Learning Project (WBL 01)
The trainee will prepare the theoretical work to commence implementation of the ‘on the job project’. When in store they can start to apply the theory to implement the project.
Project Management 01
Introduction to Project Management to include the preparation required to commence the implementation of their WBL project.
Self Awareness, Stress Management & Employee Well-Being
Here the trainee will start to understand themselves as Leaders and take a deep dive into what will make them a better leader. The trainee will also understand how to look after themselves and by doing so how to look after their employees.
Strategy
In this module the trainee will gain an insight into what strategy is and how to effectively develop and implement strategic plans.
You the Leader 01
In this Module the trainee begins to understand themselves as a leader by exploring leadership and what it means to lead.
What You should know
At completion of Phase 1
The trainee on completion of Phase 01 will begin to understand your business and themselves. They will begin to view your business strategically and gain a better understanding of how to strategically direct your business to success. They will understand their strengths and weaknesses and initiate a plan to improve themselves. The trainee will also learn to develop those around them too and through this will begin to develop their teams.
The initial project for WBL will also be developed and initiated. Various options will be explored with one option chosen, developed and initiated. Consultation visits to store by member’s of The iAcademy team will commence.
Phase 2
The Manager Module
Phase 02 focuses on The Manager, where the trainee develops their management skills.
Phase 02 The Manager Modules
Work Based Learning Project (WBL 02)
The trainee will have begun to implement the project, live testing. Learning what works and what does not, applying the knowledge gained in Project Management 02 and Management to its full effectiveness
Project Management 02
As in Project Management 01, the trainee will further learn the skills needed to implement the WBL project. The trainees will also learn how to fully implement a project, from commencement to completion.
Management
The trainee will learn the skills to become an effective manager. How to manage a business on a day to day basis in a contemporary retail environment. They will learn the skills and knowledge needed to run a business effectively.They will also begin to understand how to create effective teams, a skill they will develop further in Performance Management in phase 03.
Operations Management
In this module the trainee will explore what effective operations management is. From implementing and engaging with procedures and supply chains, to the day to day implementation of daily tasks. The trainee will gain a deeper insight into the business and with this information can develop strategies to enhance operational effectiveness.
HRM, Employment Law & Dealing with Conflict
The trainee will be given an understanding of HRM and the effective use of the discipline needed to manage a business. The trainee will explore motivation and how to motivate people. They will also begin to understand how to install a sense of purpose into their team’s roles and the benefits thereof. The trainee will explore this further in Phase03, Motivation & Empathy. They will also explore employee law and investigate how to deal with conflict effectively.
What You should know
WBL Project
By this phase the trainee will have implemented the project in store and will start to see the success of their efforts. They will, when they return to store, implement the nextsteps to keep the project on course. Consultation visits to store by member’s of The iAcademy team will continue.
In WBL the trainee will have implemented their plan in store and learned how to successfully implement and manage a live project. In class they will have reviewed the project and chosen the next steps with guidance from our team.
At completion of Phase 2
At the completion of Phase 02, the trainee should be able to effectively run the day to day of your business. Understanding how to manage all aspects from operations to HRM.
In WBL the trainee will have implemented their plan in store and learned how to successfully implement and manage a live project. In class they will have reviewed the project and chosen the next steps with guidance from our team.
Phase 3
The Leader Module
Phase 03 focuses on The Leader, where the trainee forms their leadership skills.
03 The Leaders Modules
Work Based Learning Project (WBL 03)
During this phase, the trainee will begin to take the necessary steps to complete the project. The trainee, at the end of this phase, will present their project, its effects on the business, the successes and the failures and the next steps, to the senior management team.
Motivation & Empathy
In this module, the trainee will continue to explore what is ‘motivation’ and what motivates their teams. They will also gain an understanding of empathy and how it drives our actions and decision making processes.
Emotional intelligence & Trust
In this module the trainee will understand the importance of emotional intelligence and trust in developing workplace relations. Here they will begin to understand that the foundations of leadership rely on these areas.
Preformance Management
In this module the trainee will then develop an awareness of how to manage performance in their teams through the utilisation of the knowledge and skills gained in the previous two modules.
You the leader (How to Lead)
In this module the trainee will understand what motivates and drives people to perform. They will take all the learning from the previous 3 Phases and develop a leadership plan that they can introduce in your store.
What You should know
At completion of Phase 3
At completion of Phase 03, the trainee will have all the knowledge and skills they need to mange your business from day to day.
They will now have the ability to develop their own teams strategys and direct the business to further success. They will have the knowledge and skills to implement and execute a new strategic direction, developed by you and the team, thus, ensuring the future success of your business.
Connecting with The Shop Floor
WBL Module
During each phase, the shop floor will be connected with the classroom through the WBL Module.
You will decide which project you want your trainees to undertake. Choose a project relevant to your specific business needs and have it implemented in its entirety during this programme.
Trainers with years of experience in relevant business disciplines will be available to consult with the trainees when required. Staying in contact, both virtually and in person.
The trainee will develop the WBL project in theory but more importantly in store with support both in and out of the classroom. Learning, and using the skills and knowledge that the trainee will rely on in future endeavours.
Continued Monitoring
The trainee should have completed the rollout of the WBL project. It should be implemented into the business operations and continued to be monitored and improved.
Presenting
The trainee will present the project to the senior management team and representatives of The iAcademy and will receive feedback on their efforts.
Concluding The Program
The WBL presentation will conclude the programme. It will give your trainee the platform and the visibility to perform in your organisation taking your business to the next level through your people.
